My Soundfield designer comments are from listening in stereo via VVMic. Mostly fig-8s at 90. Don't have a surround system

This ST250 recording very clear. Could be warmer. Most evident in the first movement where cellos & basses are somewhat reticent. Playful Pizzicato movement nicely demonstrates that plucked strings can appear as many separate sources and still make a musical whole. Precise localisation helps Britten. Adagio shows the deep bass is there, only slightly reticent Finale slightly strident. Applause split Left & Right Back to Back Cardiods lack treble in centre. Shows W needs more HF

Superb performance of a teenage masterpiece
