Heterodyne Brainwash
Henry
2006-07-17

This is an electronically generated piece consisting of eight sines waves each starting at 440Hz centre right. Wave one rises two octaves and falls two octaves as if modulated by another very slow sine wave before returning to 440Hz at the end. It does this while rotating through 360 degrees in exact synchronisation. Sine wave two does this same thing but at double the rate. Sine 3 does this three times overall and so on up to sine eight. The result is a hypnotic sound with plenty of audible beating as the sines interact and spin. Sound creation and electronic panning was analogue and external to the digital world with control via midi. See more details on the equipment used at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/henry01/henrys_exciting_electronics_contents.htm Surround file is 4channel first order horizontal only with Z containing no signal. Heterodyne Brainwash is one of the pieces on my CD-R Colossus which is available in the USA from http://www.electro-music.com/catalog/ or directly from myself at this address: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/henry01/ambitunes/ambitunes_records.htm
